As the newest member of the Evercomm team, I recently had the opportunity to participate in a team-building event that perfectly encapsulated the company’s culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation. It was a full-day event filled with learning, laughter, and creativity, offering the perfect opportunity to forge stronger bonds with my colleagues
Our day began with a site visit to Ecowise’s biomass plant, nestled within the iconic Gardens by the Bay. This visit provided an insightful look into the sustainable operations that align with Evercomm’s core mission to transition the world towards a lower-carbon future. Walking through the plant, it became evident how closely our work integrates with innovative energy solutions. This firsthand experience left me inspired and gave greater purpose to our work – to help create a better world for future generations.
After the insightful visit, we headed to a cozy Thai restaurant for lunch. It was here that the conversation flowed freely, moving beyond work to more personal connections. Sharing laughs and stories with my colleagues over delicious food helped turn what could have been formal office dynamics into genuine friendships. It’s moments like these that make you realize how small interactions contribute to the bigger picture of team cohesion.
The afternoon brought us to a rug tufting workshop—a fun, hands-on activity where we each got to design and create our own rugs. It was an unexpectedly creative and relaxing break from our usual tech-driven environment. Despite the playful nature of the workshop, it offered a powerful reminder of the importance of teamwork, as the team came together to help one another finish our rugs when time became a constraint. It wasn’t just about finishing a task—it was about lifting each other up when needed, which is a reflection of how we work together at Evercomm.
I’m excited to continue growing with this incredible team, knowing that the camaraderie and mutual support we share is what drives us to accomplish big things together. Whether it’s solving a work challenge or finishing a rug, we’ve got each other’s backs.
